Inspiration för julklappsinslagning –
Christmas gift wrap inspiration

Christmas gift wrap inspiration - by Craft & Creativity

This is a sponsored post, created in cooperation with 3M. I was challenged by them to make a unique and fun Christmas gift wrapping. Since I love to come up with pretty gift wrappings I was happy to take the challenge. I decided to make gift tags out of ironing beads and tape them to some of this year’s Christmas gifts.

If you feel inspired and want to try my Christmas gift wrap idea you start by creating different designs on your pegboards. Make the designs yourself or feel free to use mine. I stuck to the colors red and white. Besides Perler/Hama/Nabbi beads you will need pegboards in different shapes. When you’re done beading it’s time to melt your designs. Heat the iron to a medium to high level. Turn off the steam function. Place a sheet of parchment paper on top of the peg board and iron until the beads have fused together. Small children might need help with this. Let the beads cool off and remove the design from the peg board.

For the actual gift wrapping you will need gift wrapping paper, a pair of scissors, white cotton yarn and tape. I used Scotch double sided tape to make the beaded decorations stick to the gifts and Scotch Magic tape for the gift wrapping. The magic tape is frosty on the roll yet virtually invisible on the wrapping paper. You can read more about the different tapes here

Those of you who have read my blog for a while know that I love to use double sided tape when crafting and this one is really good. The tape comes in a dispenser which makes it easy to tear without having to use scissors.

With that, I wish you all a really nice first Sunday of Advent! In my family we always gather at my mum’s house on the first Advent and craft, bake gingerbread and saffron buns. I can not think of a better way to start Christmas.
