Dagens pyssel, hjärtan på tråd –
Craft of the Day, hearts on a thread

I got inspiration for this craft through Pinterest, but the idea originates from the blog Grace and Light. However I did my garland in a little different way. That is, I used the leftovers from the cutout rather then the actual hearts.

Nothing should be wasted and I have saved all the hearts for future craft projects (a Valentine’s Day card?). Plus I cut out triangles of the paper leftovers that perhaps could be of use (miniature flags?).

The colored paper is, in fact, paint samples that I cut into squares of 2.5 x 2.5 cm, my samples comes from from Jotun. I don’t know if they think it’s ok to use their samples for crafting … but I hope Jotun sees it as a bit of free advertising. 🙂 I chose autumn like colors for my garland and also changed the theme of the cookbooks on the kitchen shelf to better match the season.

I don’t think there’s a need for further description of how to make a garland like this. It pretty self-explanatory, and if not you can take a look at the pictures.
